About the Firm
Cardinal & Stachel, P.C. was founded by Laura Cardinal and Robert D. Stachel, Jr. in 1999. For the first two years of their practice, the founding partners shared a common office, while their staff shared another. This experience forged a working relationship characterized by cooperation, patience and good humor. The partners were also able to monitor each other’s work and developed an effective collaborative style which remains one of the hallmarks of the firm's culture.
Combining their talents in the areas of domestic relations, criminal defense, and real estate, the founding partners were soon able to add talented attorneys and staff to the firm. Over the years, various attorneys have worked with the firm, including Jana Flagler, Alex Morgan, Richard J. Riley, Jeanne Whitney, Judy Lutgring, Chris Carlsen, Nathan Williams, and Dustin Vidrine. At present, 2008, the firm consists of four attorneys: Cardinal, Stachel, Carlsen, and Williams. In keeping with the tradition of the firm, attorneys meet formally each week to discuss problem cases, to develop strategies, or to get a fresh approach from other members of the firm. Although we do not share common offices, we do share the responsibility of taking care of all our clients.
Certain members of the Cardinal & Stachel P.C. support staff have been with the firm since the beginning. Michele DoPadre, our office manager; Maris Newell, senior paralegal; and Kristin Tanner, senior legal assistant, have helped to provide the administrative continuity so important for effective long term representation of clients. Staff is provided with state-of-the art technology and the training to use it. When you are assisted by a member of the staff at Cardinal & Stachel, you can expect knowledgeable and courteous treatment.
The firm has grown to meet the needs of this dynamic and growing corner of the Arizona. Cardinal & Stachel P.C. has an active practice in family law, real estate law, and general business representation. Other areas practiced by firm members include personal injury, estate planning, construction law, adoption, and appellate advocacy. Cardinal & Stachel P.C. attorneys are licensed to appear before all Arizona state courts, from magistrate courts, to justice courts, to superior courts, to state appellate courts. In addition, all Cardinal & Stachel P.C. attorneys are licensed to appear in the federal district court for Arizona. Cardinal & Stachel P.C. attorneys will represent you in administrative hearings, such as before the Register of Contractors, unemployment hearings or appeals, immigration hearings or interviews, driver's license suspension hearings, or professional licensing boards. At present, the firm does not practice in the following areas: securities, bankruptcy, worker's compensation, tax, patents or copyright.
